This 4-day safari takes you to the heart of Kenya’s renowned Tsavo East and Tsavo West National Parks, along with a visit to the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. Itinerary
- Your adventure begins with a morning departure from Mombasa, where you'll be picked up and start your journey to Tsavo East National Park, approximately a 3-hour drive away.
- As you drive through the scenic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley, you’ll start to feel the excitement build as you approach one of Kenya’s largest and oldest national parks. After arriving, you’ll check in and have lunch at your lodge.
- In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive in Tsavo East. The park is famous for its large herds of red elephants, so be sure to keep an eye out for these unique creatures.
- Along with the elephants, the park is home to lions, giraffes, buffaloes, and various antelope species. The open savannah offers an excellent opportunity for game viewing and photography.
- After a thrilling afternoon, return to your lodge for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay at Voi Wildlife Lodge.
- On Day 2, after a hearty breakfast, you’ll depart for Tsavo West National Park, about a 2-3 hour drive away.
- Known for its diverse landscapes, including volcanic hills, lush valleys, and Mzima Springs, Tsavo West offers a striking contrast to Tsavo East.
- Upon arrival, you’ll check in and have lunch before setting out for an afternoon game drive. Tsavo West is home to a wide variety of animals, including black rhinos, elephants, lions, cheetahs, and leopards.
- You’ll also visit Mzima Springs, a freshwater oasis where you can watch elephants and other wildlife as they drink and bathe.
- The picturesque backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro adds an unforgettable element to your safari. After an exciting day of exploration, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay Ngulia Safari Lodge.
- After breakfast on Day 3, you’ll check out of your accommodation and make your way to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, located about 2-3 hours away.
- The sanctuary offers a more exclusive safari experience, with fewer visitors and a more intimate setting. Upon arrival, check-in for lunch and enjoy the serenity of the surroundings.
- In the afternoon, set out for a game drive in the sanctuary, which is home to a variety of animals such as elephants, lions, giraffes, and buffaloes.
- The sanctuary is peaceful and less crowded, giving you the chance to fully immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the area.
- As the day comes to an end, head back to your lodge for dinner at Salt Lick Safari Lodge.
- On the final day of your safari, after breakfast, you’ll enjoy one last game drive in Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary before checking out of your lodge.
- This will be your final opportunity to spot any wildlife you may have missed earlier during your stay. After your game drive, you’ll embark on a scenic drive to Diani Beach.
- Upon arrival at Diani Beach, you’ll check into your beachfront resort and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
- You can relax on the pristine white sands, swim in the turquoise waters, or indulge in a spa treatment.
- As the sun sets, you can enjoy a delicious beachside dinner while unwinding in this tropical paradise.
